The shift from a linear to a circular society is not a choice; it is a necessity. Our current systems of production and consumption drive resource depletion, climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss, while also deepening social inequality and geopolitical dependence.

We know what is at stake. Now it’s time to act together.

That is why we invite you to the Circular Co-Creation Event on June 8th, 2026, at Antropia Driebergen.

Let’s co-create!

While ambition for a circular transition is growing across sectors, progress stalls because knowledge is fragmented across people and organisations that rarely connect. As a result, sustainable alternatives remain underused; data are not translated into action, and innovations stay stuck in pilots.

During the event, participants join one dedicated co-creation track, allowing to dive deep, build shared understanding, and collaborate with others working on similar challenges:

  • Informed and Sustainable Decision Making in Surgery – Hosted by UMC Utrecht
  • Lifecycle Choices for Medical Devices – Hosted by NVZ
  • Tackling the Housing Crisis with Fast and Circular Concepts – Hosted by ROM Utrecht Region
  • Mapping and Recovery of Critical Materials for Circular Construction – Hosted by ROM Utrecht Region

Keynote speakers

We are proud to welcome two inspiring keynote speakers who will challenge perspectives and spark new thinking

  • Paul Schenderling, Economist, author, and managing director at Sufficiency
Sufficiency is the new efficiency: towards more effective circular strategies that make economic sense
  • Prof. Dr. Simona O. Negro Full Professor ‘Circular Societies’ at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University
Are we on track towards circular societies in 2050?

For whom?

This event is for researchers, professionals, policymakers, and societal partners who want to move beyond ideas and actively contribute to the circular transition. We explicitly welcome a diverse group of participants from different disciplines, sectors, and backgrounds, because meaningful change happens when different perspectives come together
